This beautiful old Toronto building was built around 1920. It was bought in 1982 and became the company Resto-Clean (Restoration through Cleansing), one of the first colon hydrotherapy clinics in Toronto. The year I began working as a receptionist after school to help my mom was 1985. I was 12 years old!
After mom’s retirement in January 2022 and with her blessing, my husband and I made plans to renovate and reopen the colon hydrotherapy business.
Progress was slow as materials and manufacturing went at a snail’s pace during the COVID years. By the end of October 2022, we had new windows!
The renovation of the inside of the building started in earnest by the end of October.
It is a dream come true to have this building glowing with the colours of sunset and grounded in West Coast red cedar. It is my sincere hope that this building and the business housed in it, Women’s Health Collaborative, can become a calm, safe place of healing for all that walk across the threshold.
